SHIGERU “SHIG” YABU. Internee Biographicals about: Benzo Okada, Arthur Ishigo, and a man they called “Kichigai” (which means crazy). , 2000s
Scope and Contents
Kichigai, an elderly man used to get spring water from the hills. He made a special backpack to carry back so many gallons of spring water to make sake, which is Japanese liquor (rice wine). They gave him his nickname because of his dedication of hauling spring water. This gentleman never bothered anyone, and nobody knew how much sake he was making. No one seemed to be intoxicated, so there is not much to this crazy story.
