The story of a mountain lion trapped by a government trapper Frank Morris. The mountain lion was very common at the turn of the 20th century but have been hunted out as a predator. Studies have shown that mountain lions typically kill their pray 3 times a week and stay within 100 yards of their kill until the prey is eaten. Article explains how Morris trapped the mountain lion (cougar) Other parts of the article explain local game expert Ned Frost and his partner Fred Richard made a business out of catching mountain lions for zoos. Article was in Wyoming Wildlife July 1953. A set of pictures showing a mountain lion killed by 2 ranchers, the lion had been killing chickens.
