Paul Stock rides at the round-uup, fall 1956. The cattle brought off Pat O'Hara were gathered at the corrals on the 'Old Brown' place several miles up Trail Creek from the ranch.

Separating the calves from their mammas was the job of the day. Stock stops for a breather in the midst of the counting.

They haven't found out any way to take the 'bawling'out of the process of dehorning, delousing, dewlapping, vaccinating, castrating and branding, but it all happens so quickly.

As each calf comes through the chute, he is securely fastened to the tilting side panel which drops over at table height so that each man can quickly do his part of the necessary operation. The most sanitary and humane procedure is used at Trail Creek Ranch.

The modernly equipped round-up center, all the necessary paraphenalia is gathered so that the calves get the works in one fell swoop.
