Slides P.91.21.001 - P.91.21.049 Dining at Hawaiian Village. LDS Temple and grounds. Scenic views of ocean and beaches. Pineapple groves, Flowers, Coco palms, Sausage tree. Hawaii crater. Honolulu "Pineapple Water Tower": Errection of the tank was completed in January of 1928. The tank measured 24 feet in diameter and 40 feet in height. It was place on a 100 feet tall steel structure. When the delicate leafy crown and red aircraft beacon were placed, the Pineapple Water Tank stood out as the tallest structure in Honolulu and was a landmark for over 60 years. The tower was built in 1928 by the Chicago Bridge and Iron Company as part of an expansion of the Dole, Hawaiian Pineapple Company's processing plant. The tower was taken down in 1993 because it was old and rusting. Statue of King Kamehameha at Ali'iolani Hale (Honolulu) Besides Honolulu, they also went to the Island of Kauai.
