UPI clipping; "Army Agrees to Help World Shooting Match" Article written in Aug. The Army said yesterday it had agreed reluctantly to help support the $3 million 1970 World Shooting Championships with more than $70,000 worth of personnel and equipment. "Unfortunately," one officer said, "we are just better equipped than any civilian agency to support a large shooting match." The decision to provide support, a spokesman said, was made under pressure from the NRA and some members of Congress. Etc....
