"Two Great Lakes Juniors Earn Berths On Illinois All-State Shooting Team" Patricia Kinsella of the Great Lakes Junior Tifle Club won the tournament at the USNTC Rifle Tange. Kinsella became the first girl in the history of the tournament to win the State Chmpionship. Her winning score was 389 out of 400, firing a perfect score from the prone position, 99 in the sitting , 97 kneeling and 93 standing. Other honors: State girl Prone Champion, Kathi Kinsella with a perfect 100. State Sharpshooter Sitting Champion, Patricia Kinsella with a 99 and State Girls Standing Champion w/93. Patricia Kinsella, Don Hester, John Wadsworth and Art Roth won the State Sharpshooter Team Championship with a score of 1501.
