The Columbus Enquirer,Columbus, GA. Patricia "Trish" Foster , National Women's smallbore Rifle Champion, received the honor of serving as captain of the Women's Randall Team at Camp Perry, OH this week. Mrs. Foster, the wife of Maj. John Foster, officer in charge of the International Rifle division of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, Ft. Benning, was selected for the distinctive honor by the NRA in recognition for her outstanding marksmanship. She coached the winning U.S. team in the 1971 Randall match. The Randall Team, made up of ten select women marksmen posting championship scores in Prone Metallic Sight competition this year, competes with teams fielded by the English speaking nations, including Great Britain, Canada, Southern Rhodesia, South Africa and Australia. As a postal match, only the U.S. team will be firing in the Randall event at Camp Perry with the other national teams submitting their scores for the annual championship. The U.S. Team won the championship in 1971 with 3,987. Etc.
