The Officers were at EWSC for a 2 day rifle clinic held in conjunction with the 1972 Savage Trophy Match. Foster started the first session of the clinics by talking about the equipment needed and a few shooting techniques. He ended, stating that psychology is 90% of shooting. "Your biggest competitor is yourself, just shoot your average. With this one goal you should be a better and stronger competitor." The clinic drew over 250 shooters from MT, ID, OR, AK, WA and British Columbia.
