Four AMTU members, blazed their way into slots for the five man Conseil International du Sports Militaire (CISM) rifle team July 12 in the three-day CISM trials. Capturing the number one spot on the U.S.Rifle team, Lones Wigger. Runner-up, David Boyd. The 3rd, 4th and 5th positions were won by Capts. Boyd Goldsby, Ed Schumacher and Maj.John Foster. The five rifle shooters will join a five-man pistol team to be selected at San Antonio. This combined 10-man team will then represent the U.S. against the world's best military marksmen of the near 40 member nations in the CISM matches, at Kungshagen, Sweden, in late August.
