Bassham's winning totals were 1160 and 385 respectively. John Foster in 300-meter free rifle. Kimes'margin of victory in the standard rifle competition was 5 points,as he posted 575. Kimes then finished as runner-up to Foster in the 300-meter event. Foster's gold medal winning performance was 1154; Kimes fired 1145.
