Over the weekend 12 shooters were named to the U.S. team that will compete against some 70 nations here in Oct. during the 40th World Shooting Championships. (para.7) Maj. Lones Wigger, the man who swept the rifle events here last year during the 9th U.S. Int'l Shooting Championships, led 4 other smallbore shooters to the World Shooting team after winning the 3-position smallbore free rifle Sat. with a 3,419 total. On the Team with Wigger are Maj. John Foster, Capt. Margaret Murdock and W.O. David Boyd. Other winners who claimed titles Sat. were Maj.Bruce Meredith - English Match...etc.
