Caption; Mr.Jack Foster of the U.S., a world renowned rifle shooter and coach, conducts a seminar on gunsmithing at the Christchurch Smallbore rifle range in Bangor St. yesterday. The National Shooting Federation used a grant from the Olympic Solidarity Fund to bring Mr. Foster to New Zealand as a coach. He held 2 seminars in the North Island and has been holding clinics in Christchurch since Saturday. Mr. Foster has competed in 2 Olympic Games and 5 World Championships, and has won 33 medals in international competition. He is the former holder of 2 individual world records, for the 300 meter kneeling event and the big-bore standard rifle. Some of the world records for teams which he has been involved in still stand.

The seminar date in Christchurch would have begun on the 21st.
