* Photos: P.419.2704 Golden Gate Bridge P.419.2705 Donner Pass P.419.2706, P.419.2707 Camp Roberts, CA * Newspaper clippings: "Schessler All-American Rifleman", "Schessler, Foster Win All-American Rifle Honors": Schessler was one of two MSU marksmen to be honored in the All-American selections. John Foster was named to the second team. The All-American rifle Team is comparable in rifle firing to the All-American team in football, ROTC officers said. There are 10 members on the first team and the same number on the second, all selected by votes cast by coaches of rifle teams that belong to the NRA. Leadership and scholastic standing are considered along with marksmanship. Foster,is a student in the MSU Forestry School. He placed first in the Sixth Army area and fourth in the nation in the William Randolph Hearst match this year. He has been on the ROTC rifle team for 2 years and was a member of the Sixth Army area team in the national large bore competition at Camp Perry, OH. He fired on the Montana Military District Army Reserve team which won the Sixth Army championship last month. * The Montana Kaimin. "ROTC Teams Win Rifle Match". Shoulder to Shoulder Four-Position Match with Washington State college's. MSU's Army and Air Force rifle teams place first and second in the match.
