* "Guns and Shooting". National Trophy Rifle Team Match. How the Advanced Marksmanship Unit, Fort Benning, has turned Army squads into winners. * "Foster on Army Rifle Team". PFC John Foster, 19, a Missoula Army Reservist,will join the top military marksmen in the 8-state 6th Army area as a member of the Sixth Army rifle team which will compete for national honors at Camp Perry, next August. Foster's selection came as a result of placing among the tip 20 in a field of 300 crack Army and Marine Corps riflemen who competed for berths on the 6th Army team in a four-day firing match at Camp Roberts, CA. His performance at Roberts earned him a leg toward the Distinguished Marksmanship Medal, the Army's highest shooting award. He is a serious contender for a spot on the U.S. Olympic team which will be selected at Camp Perry. * CERTIFICATES: 1956, 1957, 1958; All-American Rifle Team member. NRA Lifetime Master; Indoor Smallbore Rifle, Outdoor Smallbore Rifle Position, and High Power Rifle. All issued Dec.20,1958
