* Bulletins: Headquarters, United States Army Advanced Marsmanship Unit, Fort Benning, GA. Final tryout matces for the US Pan American Rifle squad, 50 meter, 3-position team.
June 16-20: 4-day aggregate total, Foster was 7th with 4504-57 score. Highest score was 4592-82 shot by J.S.Carter, followed by Puckel, Gunnarsson, Pool, Wright, and Anderson.
June 20: Annual International Postal Match. Top 10 U.S. contenders. Team total 11321. Foster was 4th highest individual w/1137.
June 23-26: The US Army International Rifle Team fired the 4-day tryout matches for selection to the US Pan American Rifle Squad, 300-M Free Rifle team. The Int'l Match course was fired, 40 shots in each position, prone, kneeling and standing, total possible 1200. Foster ranked 8th with 4477. High man was Puckel with 4544.
