Roughly translated: Americans have to stretch enormously at their 3:2. In paragraph 1.) In the 90 meter wide hall (shooting range) there were 2 shooting teams from both countries (USA and Germany). They moved into their quarters and didn't give each other a single "ring" (shot). The biggest deductions from the absolute maximum did not actually come to the account of the shooters, but that of steady wind that eventually thwarted it, that the results did not quite reach the level that was to be expected. And yet in this respect a brilliant performance was achieved: 23-year old American John Foster shot a 375 (out of 400) in the standing position. The Results: 3-Position: #1 Germany 4507 (out of 4800) ;#2 USA I, 4473; #3 USA II, 441 Individual: #2 Gary Anderson, 1131; #8 John Foster 1117.
