Scope and Contents

Sons John Robert and Richard. John's younger brother Richard, at New Moorefield Jr. High School, won a position on the varsity football team. Katherine (John's mom) is a graduate of the University of Michigan and became interested in ceramics. Took classes, read books and began turning out dishes and dolls. She branched out to experimenting with copper and silver. She began selling her wares and found a ready market. In '55 she won a crafts award for a ceramic dish she entered in the Dayton art show. John Foster - expert marksman - has won medals and recently competed for the Olympic rifle team. Recently, as a PFC in the ROTC, he made the highest score over all other infantrymen in the Nat'l. Rifle Match at Camp Perry with a score of 244 out of 250.
