Won gold in her event at ’96 North American championships. Silver medalist a NCAA Championships in ’94 for West Virginia. Mother is a former world champion and father competed in 2 Olympic games. The Atlanta Journal – Constitution (July 25). “Shooters avoid media after bad rounds”. ACOG press officials said U.S. rifle team coach Robert Mitchell refused a request for interviews with the 2 American competitors after the match. U.S. shooter Jean Foster finished 12th and Elizabeth Bourland failed to earn a medal after qualifying in “sixth” place for the final round. (Another article said she placed 8th in the final round.)
