Scope and Contents
The Casper Star-Tribune. “Quiet American dies on his farm” by Ron Franscell - Worland – Kazuo Uriu was a Quiet-American, a Nisei from the truck farms of California who worked his way to prominence in Wyoming’s agricultural community after three years in a World War II internment camp. He died on his farm, a place he came to while still a prisoner of his own government. His time at the Heart Mountain internment camp was not forgotten, but neither was Kaz bitter, his family and friends say. Instead, he was patient and hard-working and kind. Kaz was born in 1919. More of his life in the article.
