Gov. Lester Hunt. Letter and Petition to Gov. Hunt, Senators, Congressman and WRA from Earl Kerr, Pres. Of American War Dads., July-Aug.,1945
Scope and Contents
In Part: “The War Relocation Authority has failed in their plan to relocate the Japanese. There are still 6000 left in the Heart Mtn. center, now it is the order that these remaining Japanese get out on their own accord and they may go any place in the United States they please. This is entirely contrary to the understanding the people here had when the Japs were brought here. The Government brought the Japs in here and it is the Governments duty to this community to take them out.
