Fair Play Committee. Transpacific article: “Unsung Heroes of Heart Mountain” – A small group of Japanese American men once consigned to ignominious oblivion have been proven in time to have been courageous defenders of American ideals. They are the 120 young Nisei men from the internment camp in Heart Mountain, Wyoming, who refused to be drafted while the rights of citizenship were stripped from them and their families.
