With this gift, the Stocks have donated a total of over $360,000 to the Cody community in this area. They previously gave monies to purchase the old Buffalo Bill Museum property for the use of the town and erected the band shell in the City Park."

"Disgrace to Colorado: Condition of Buffalo bill's Grave Deplored" Bill Cody Garlow, grandson of Col. William F."Buffalo Bill" Cody, told the Club last week that he had visited the grave of his grandfather on Lookout Mountain and was appalled at the condition of the grave and museum overlooking the City of Denver. Garlow stated "The trash, television antennas and general mess I found, coupled with a museum not fitting to the memory of any person was a disgrace to the City of Denver and the State of Colorado." The museum, Garlow stated, was nothing but a curios shop co-mingled with a few Buffalo Bill items consisting, among other things, of a dwarfed wax dummy of Col. Cody, dressed in shabby western attire.....Etc.
