....a picture of one of the largest bears ever killed in the Jackson Hole country of Wyoming. The two hunters surprised the bear in a small clearing on Buffalo Creek and at 150 yards the brute turned to fight. It took three shots from high-powered rifles to put the animal down for keeps. The bear measured a fraction over six feet from tip to tip and weighed slightly over 700 pounds.
