Scope and Contents
Topeka Daily Capital, July 12- “Topeka woman Gains in Contest”, The WAC officer posted a 1156 to run her two-day score to 2296 and gain five points on the match leader, Lt. Gary Anderson – “Topeka Gal 3rd in Rifle Tourney”, It was the second rifle victory for Anderson in the matches. His 3-day total of 3473 points easily outdistanced runner-up Army Capt. John Foster, who finished with 3433 points. WAC Lt. Margaret Thompson of Topeka, KS, who started the final day only 10-points behind Anderson, finished third with 3430.
