Letter from the NRA to Margaret Murdock – “The 1980 rule book recognized for the first time, scores shot in UIT competitions as NRA National Records. Therefore, your Standard Rifle Prone Score of 598 fired in the 1974 World Shooting Championships and your 1162, 3-Position, 50-meter score fired in Montral are Women’s National Records. In addition, the Army Reserve Team – Standard Rifle Position Score of 1703 fired in 1977 had never been recognized as a National Record.”
