Athletes’ Feats, “Riflery”, By shooting 385 out of a possible 400 points, Murdock set a new world’s record in the standing position. Combined with 395 prone and 386 kneeling scores, Murdock’s 1166 accumulation was the winning total. The 33-year-old anesthesiology student is the first person to win this event twice as she took the same title at the 1967 Pan-Am Games in Winnipeg.
