Abstract

This collection consists of ninety-four transcriptions of the Sons of the Pioneers Teleways broadcasts in 16” disc/33 1/3 R.P.M. lateral cut format. These reissued discs date from the mid-1950s. The transcripts represent approximately 260 productions recorded and copyrighted by the Pioneer Radio Productions, Inc. The transcripts are in good condition. Total volume represents three 16 ½” x 16 ½” boxes. A 16 “ turntable is needed in order to play the transcripts. Volunteers Jack Russell and Carol Hartung assisted in processing this collection.

Biographical or Historical Information

Mr. Davenport became a collector of old time radio programs in the late 1980s. When returning to his hometown in Sylacauga, Alabama, and visiting the radio station where he had worked while in high school he came across this collection of Sons of the Pioneers Teleways Transcripts.
