The Cody Enterprise dated 06/07/1962 ran a series of pictures highlighting the facility and patients. Facility uses water from the Hot Springs in Thermopolis which were thought to have therapeutic values.

Cover picture of David Devine who shot an elk who had become entangled in barbed wire fencing the night before. The hunter killed the elk which had 40 yards of wire wrapped around his antlers and throat area. Elk only had wire on his body for about 12 hours before he was shot.
