National Rifle and Pistol Matches, Camp Perry. Newspaper clippings – Topeka Capital-Journal, “Ex-Topekan Wins Title”, Capt. Margaret Thompson, a Topeka native, now stationed at Ft. Benning, GA, won the women’s rifle title for the third straight year at the National Rifle and Pistol Matches. She scored 3127 out of a possible 3200 in the smallbore competition.
