Abstract An original June 28, 1889  hand written document (now in three fragile pieces) of Major General George Crook at the Pine Ridge Agency given to Walking Woman, daughter of Cheyenne chief High Wolf, attesting that she had received in 1868 a letter from Major General W.S. Harney, previously renewed in 1876 by Sen. Allison, notifying white men to give her kind treatment.  This same letter was added to on August 31, 1889 by Gen.
