Abstract

This collection consists of the album of Harry Miller, a ranger for the Shoshone National Forest.  Miller accompanied Prince Albert I of Monaco and William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody on their famous hunt in 1913.  The collection includes photographs taken by Miller, who served as a camp guard on the expedition.  The collection also includes manuscript items related to his appointment as an assistant ranger for the Shoshone National Forest.  Also included are photographs of local notable persons such as Billy Howell, Harry Thurston, Fred and Peg Garlow, among others.  The highlight of this collection is a letter dated December 1913 from Prince Albert I to Miller, thanking him for sending photographs of their hunting trip.
