Found in 3 Collections and/or Records:
MS 043 - Roland Reed Photographs
Photographs of Native American Indians by Roland Reed, probably taken primarily in Montana (including Glacier National Park) circa 1909-1915. Most of the photographs are posed, showing the subjects outdoors wearing traditional clothing, often next to scenic natural features such as waterfalls, streams, and rock formations. Some were published in James Willard Schultz’s Blackfeet Tales of Glacier National Park, 1916.
MS 592 - Roger Schauer Collection
The collection includes a photograph album of early twentieth century life in Montana. The years in the album range from 1919 to 1930 and the subjects of the photograph appear to all be apart of the same family. The pictures are of the town in Montana that they lived in, significant moments in their lives, and trips to Yellowstone and dude ranches in Wyoming.
MS 595 - Mangiboyat Collection
This collection contains photographs of the early Crow Fair, bison, horses, tepees, and Crow people. These photographs were taken mostly by James J. Sloan during the early 20th century. Some of the photographs have captions on the back identifying the people in the photograph.
